We loved your open mind to make our ceremony whatever suited us and not what suited you. Your ritual suggestions made us think and we are happy that that prompted us to have the wine box ceremony as part of the ceremony. Our friends commented the day was ‘really us’ and you contributed to that so thank you.

Chelsea and Nathan

Chelsea and Nathan were my first booking after I became a Celebrant and will always hold a special place in my heart. They knew what they wanted and were open to suggestions. Their ceremony at St Francis Winery was on a crisp spring day and the sun shone down on us for all the right moments.

Chelsea and Nathan chose to include a time capsule ritual in the ceremony including a bottle of their favourite wine and a set of love letters.

They plan to open the time capsule every five years on their wedding anniversary, enjoy the wine and read the letters. I encourage couples to write new love letters to each other and include them along with the original ones each time they open the time capsule. This way the box becomes a record of their love story.

As another idea couples can look to print a range of notepaper which is used over the years for this purpose.
